Biosketch
Srivastava is a Reader in Molecular Neuroscience in the Department of Basic and Clinical Neuroscience, in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London; a Group Leader in the MRC Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders, King’s College London, and the Director of the Wohl Cellular Imaging Centre, at King’s College London.
Deepak obtained his BSc from Cardiff University, and his PhD from the University of Cambridge. He carried out his post-doctoral training in Prof. Peter Penzes’ lab in the Department of Physiology, Northwestern University, before becoming faculty at King’s College London in 2012. The Srivastava Lab, also known as the Neuronal Circuitry and Neurodevelopmental disorders group (NCND Group), investigates synaptic biology in in health and disease, focusing on the cellular and physiological aspect of disease with a translational focus. The lab uses patient derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and advanced cellular imaging approaches to investigate these questions.
